Video Ministry: Is Your Audience Online?
Why Not Marketing Your Ministry is Vain
Communications in ministry today is loaded with borrowed terminology. We rely heavily on “the world” for our vocabulary when it comes to getting the word out. Sadly, modern ad agencies excel in communication far beyond the efforts of the Church. Madison Avenue often reaches the eyes and ears of our people far more quickly and effectively than we do.
This does not have to be the case but it is the case. That is why leaders are so sensitive when the word “marketing” is introduced to their weekly church staff meeting. We don’t want to “market” the Gospel. “Marketing” somehow reeks of theological compromise. After all, we want to subvert the evil tactics of the world; not perpetuate them.
But what if you adjusted your understanding of the word “marketing” to a more accurate definition? What if “marketing” could be reclaimed for the Gospel?
Evangelical theologian and scholar Carl F. H. Henry once said, “The Gospel is only good news if it gets there in time.” As ministers of the Gospel, we need to be quicker and more persuasive than Madison Avenue. It is our mission, and it is your responsibility, to “market” your ministry if you are driven by the Great Commission.
The term “marketing” is too often perverted into a sort of glam deception schema that preys on the appetites of the public. Let’s stop there: Is that what comes to your mind when you consider a marketing strategy?
The way you communicate demonstrates what you think about the value of your message. The world is trained to watch for signals, both visual and audible, that tell them what is important and what is not. Your ministry’s website testifies to the power of the Gospel. Even your service bulletin stakes claims about the Kingdom.
Don’t get me wrong; the Kingdom of God is not about websites and bulletins, but your ministry will succeed or fail, at least in part, based on the level of seriousness with which you take your message. If your message is important you will ensure that people hear it quickly and effectively. In other words . . . you will ResonateOrDie.
Gospel leaders who “market” their ministries well should do so out of consideration for the lost. To do so for some other reason is vanity. Gospel leaders who do not “market” their ministries well demonstrate contempt for the lost. That is equally, if not more grotesquely, vain. Let me be clear: you should only market within, your means. “Your power” to do so might be great or it might be small. If your resources are abundant, be a good steward. If your resources are limited, be a good steward. The point is to “market” effectively, not to “market” expensively.
So don’t be afraid when your staff brings up ministry marketing in your next weekly meeting. You are not selling out to the world to have this conversation. It is not vain to “market” your ministry. It is vain not to.

Christian Marketing: Simple Blogging Tips
Christian Marketing: Video Blogging Strategy
So why should you consider video blogging as part of your business or Christian marketing strategy?
- Video offers a more comprehensive experience. You can show more emotion, share the heart and passion to connect with your audience.
- Many people prefer watching a video explaining an idea or thought than reading the printed information. One recent study concluded that people were six times more likely to watch a video than reading printed information to understand a subject.
- Many are learning how to make money with a blog by incorporating video. It's a powerful affiliate marketing strategy as well.
- You can identify your video to your own domain name. Basically, it's worth repeating. You can control the videos shown on your page! You don't have to worry about something inappropriate being shown near your videos.
- Video blogging can be an extension of your ministry. By video blogging, you can start your own "channel", your own video ministry, sharing your anointing and gifts to thousands.
How to get started
So you are ready to use video for Christian marketing or promotion in your blog?
Getting started with adding video to your blog is easier and easier these days. I have had extensive experience using all sorts of cameras through the years. Today, there are more quality cameras that are coming out with lower price tags.
The easiest and fastest way to start is to get The Flip Camera!
I am amazed over and over again by how easy it is to use. My kids love it. They are always taking it with them wherever they go. I usually have to hide it if I want to use it!
How easy is it? My 6 year old son got a hold of the Flip Video camera this past summer and shot himself singing. I made his little adventure into a "Flip YouTube Video Moment", a great fun post for any video blog!
Other pocket size cameras include the Creative Labs Vado Pocket Video Camcorder, Kodak Zi6 HD Pocket Video Camera, and DXG DXG-567VKC 5.0 Megapixel High-Definition Pocket Digital Video Camera In Clamshell.
One reason why I like the Flip Video camera is the "Flip" out device that can be inserted into your computer. You insert it to one of your USB ports, download some software that comes with the camera, and you have the basic means to save the video to your computer and upload them to your blog. If you want to get a little fancier, there are some quality inexpensive software you can buy to give you more options, such as adding your link to your video blog or website at the bottom of the video.
Be real and "shoot" from the heart.
To really get this video blogging started and on its way, you have to be willing to take the time to be real, set the camera up, and shoot! Don't be afraid. Share from the heart. Forget your ego and what YOU look like. It's not about you, it's about them! You have the opportunity to help that person who may stumble upon your blog site, needing a word of hope. Granted, you don't want to be in your hair rollers or bathrobe when you are on camera, but don't "wig out" over a bad hair day.
Finally, the video wave is starting to roll across the internet. Now is the time to take the necessary steps to get a camera and ride the wave! One thing you will notice in the end is more traffic to your blog site, more people reading and hearing about your ministry, and more hearts touched by your anointing!

Christian Marketing With Articles
Writing High Quality Articles For Your Website
By Tim Jefferson
Want to do well in search engine rankings, or gain the respect of others and have them view your website as a true authority in your niche. If so, then you have to get excellent content loaded onto each of your website pages. This can be done by writing great articles or content pieces. Want to know how to write great articles? Check out the information below.
Don't Sell The Title Short
The title of your article is very important because it is the very first thing that readers see when searching the results where your article can be found. You'll want to write a title that will grab the attention of your potential readers and draw them in. If you writing on a particular keyword or phrase, make sure that it can be found somewhere in the title.
Focus On Article Body Quality
This is where you'll really get your message across so it's important that you make this section as readable and understandable as possible. Grammar, spelling, and punctuation are all crucial aspects of writing and should not be taken lightly if you want to be viewed as a well respected author. Your readers will be more likely to read the entire article if it is properly written and exciting at the same time. One thing to keep in mind is that you never want to "stuff" your article with your keyword or keyword phrases. This doesn't do your readers any good and will not get you any popularity points either.
Summarize Your Topic
At this point your readers should be well informed about the topic that you wrote the article on, and all that is left is to refresh or reiterate the important topics that you discussed earlier. A great summary will help solidify the information in your reader's mind so they remember exactly what the article was about and will remember it for quite some time. Always provide a brief summary for your readers so that can easily remember your article.
Want to buy articles instead of having to write them yourself? Take a look at the article writing service at http://www.articlemedley.com.

Christian Marketing: SEO Secrets To High Rankings
Christian Marketing: SEO Basics
Christian Marketing requires the same basic principles of any marketing strategy. And SEO, search engine optimization must be part of the foundation of your ministry marketing plan online.
SEO is the process of optimizing your pages in your website or blog so it will rank high when people search for things via Google or any other search engine.
Christian marketing using SEO is about the content on your site and picking the right keywords for your content, whether it be a article, blog post, or video. Picking the right keywords for you content is key for people to find you so they can link to your pages on your site.
The key to finding keywords is research!
You have to be able to find the exact keywords that relate to the words and phrases that people in your target market type into a search engine to find that which they are looking.Typically, the more specific the phrase, the higher it will convert. You also have to keep in mind of LSI: Latent Semantic Indexing. All this means is the related words related to your keyword or related themes.
For example, you have golf swing as you keyword. Related words could be clubs, swing, courses, shoes etc.
It's good to have these related word so as to show the search engines, such as Google, that you are not just stuffing a page with keywords but actually producing real content (of real value).
So keyword research is a vital internet marketing tip.
One keyword tool that is free is Google. As I show in my video above, it is a very easy tool to start some basic discovery of finding your keyword.
SEO also involves some on page factors you need to consider.
The first and most important factor of everything you do is how your page is structured with the title tag. The title of your web page or video should have no more than 65 characters, and the keyword should start the title with related (LSI) phrases in it.
Another on page factor is your description. Use your keyword in a short description concerning what your page is about, including your related words to the keyword.
Using Wordpress Blogs are great because you can download plug ins, such as the SEO All In One Plug-In to help your posts and blog rank well in the search engines.
Here are some examples of blogs I have where I use this SEO plug-in.
